Because of being larger than folding cartons, rigid boxes are made of thick 36 to 120 pt board overlaid

with a printed paper wrap and can not be folded and will not change its shape.

Rigid boxes are a sturdy paper-based box consisting of high-thickness (often 2-3mm) chipboard, wrapped by decorative specialty paper.
